  • bored dog beside empty bowl

    🥿 The boredom projects

Chewed slippers, shredded cushion corners, excavated planters. Boredom always finds a project, and it is never one you'd approve.

  • Dog gulping dinner from a bowl in seconds

    🍽️ The 30-second meal

Dinner is inhaled before you've put the dabba back. By 7 pm the begging starts again, because eating never felt like anything.

  • Indian pet parent reaching for keys by the front door while the dog watches, worried

    🚪 The guilt-whine

That whine when you pick up your keys. Under-stimulated dogs struggle with alone-time, and you carry the sound to work with you.

  • Hands adjusting the aperture level on the ChasePlay barbell treat ball

    🎚️ Grows with your dog

Three aperture levels keep the puzzle ahead of the solver.

  • Rinsing the ChasePlay treat ball clean under a kitchen tap

    🧼 Two-minute cleanup

Twist apart, rinse, or run it through the dishwasher.

Dinner, two ways

Drag the difference

The same dog, the same meal. Left, a 30-second gulp and a restless evening. Right, twenty minutes of work and a calmer dog.

    🟡 Grippy end caps

Bright yellow caps take the knocks and keep the roll unpredictable.

  • Erilas TumbleBar barbell wobble

    🏋️ Barbell wobble

The off-centre shape darts and tumbles instead of rolling straight.

    🦴 Food-safe plastic

Tough, bite-resistant and easy to rinse clean.

  • Erilas TumbleBar slow-feed treat release

    🐕 Slow-feed effect

  • Pouring kibble into the ChasePlay treat ball at Level 1

    🥣 1 · Fill at Level 1

Twist open, add a handful of kibble or small training treats, and set the aperture to the widest setting.

  • Handing the ChasePlay treat ball to a golden retriever to start the chase

🐾 2 · Hand it over, step back

The first nudge drops a treat. That is the hook. From there the wobble keeps the chase moving without you.

  • Narrowing the ChasePlay aperture between play sessions while the dog watches

    📈 3 · Level up weekly

When treats start coming too easily, narrow the aperture. Rinse between sessions, dishwasher when it gets gross.

See it in use

The chase that never ends

Treats tumble loose as it rolls and wobbles, so the hunt keeps paws and nose busy long after you sit down.

Dog foraging with the Erilas TumbleBar treat ball

Foraging is hardwired

Dogs are built to work for food. Sniffing, chasing, solving, that is the part of their day their brain is wired to crave, and a bowl skips it entirely. TumbleBar puts the working back into eating: nudge, wobble, chase, earn.

There is a mealtime effect too. Food that arrives in one gulp spikes excitement and leaves nothing to do with it. Food earned in small wins keeps arousal low and attention long, the frantic 7 pm begging often is not hunger, it is an unfinished instinct.

🧭 15 minutes of sniff-and-solve

Behaviourists often equate 15 minutes of focused sniff-and-solve work with the fatigue of a long walk. A trainer's shorthand, not a law, every dog differs.

🩺 Slower eating, lower gulp-and-bloat risk

Vets associate slower eating with a lower gulp-and-bloat risk, especially in deep-chested breeds like Labs and German Shepherds. General guidance, not medical advice.

Finally get to finish my chai
My Indie pup used to whine the moment I sat down with my morning chai, but now she chases this ball around the living room for a solid twenty minutes. I load it with a few Pedigree biscuits and she works out how to tip them free herself. Bought it mostly for peace and quiet and it delivered.

    Rolls in weird directions
The barbell shape means it never goes where he expects, so my Beagle actually has to think instead of just batting it under the sofa. He lost it behind the fridge once and stood there staring, which was hilarious. Keeps him busy while I take work calls from home.

    Good but treats jam sometimes
Honestly my Labrador loves this thing and it tires her out before our evening walk, no complaints there. My one gripe is that if you use slightly larger treats they can get wedged in the middle and she gives up, so I stick to smaller kibble now. Still worth it, just size your treats down.

    Survived my Rottweiler
I was sure my Rott would crack this in a day like he does with every squeaky toy, but three weeks in it still looks new. The material has a bit of give so he can chew the ends without shredding it. Sturdier than I expected for the price.

    Rainy day lifesaver
During the Mumbai monsoon we can barely step out for walks, and my Pomeranian was climbing the walls with all that pent-up energy. This treat ball keeps her occupied on the balcony floor for a good half hour. Genuinely saved my sanity through July.

    Easy to clean, that matters
The two halves twist apart so I can rinse it under the tap after his dinner treats leave a greasy residue inside. A lot of dispenser toys I bought earlier grew a funky smell because you could never reach the middle. This one dries fully overnight on the drying rack.

    Slowed down her eating
My Cocker Spaniel used to inhale her food in ten seconds flat, then beg for more. I put a portion of her kibble in this ball and now she has to chase and roll it to eat, which stretched dinner to almost fifteen minutes. Her bloating after meals has clearly reduced.

    Two dogs, one ball
We have a Lab and a street rescue and I worried they would fight over it, but they actually take turns nudging it around the courtyard. The unpredictable roll means neither can hog it in a corner. Best thirty rupees a day of entertainment, roughly speaking.

    Kept the barking down
My apartment neighbour had started complaining about my Spitz barking when left alone, which was getting stressful. I now leave this loaded with treats before heading to office and he stays occupied instead of yelping at the door. Two weeks and no more knocks from next door.

    Older dog still enjoys it
My twelve-year-old Dachshund has slowed down a lot and ignores most toys these days, so I wasn't hopeful. But the treat reward gets him moving gently around the room without straining his back like a fetch toy would. Nice low-impact way to keep him a little active.

Tonight, give them something to solve

You can't shorten the workday. You can leave behind something better than guilt: twenty-odd minutes of self-driven play, a slower dinner, and an evening where the cushions survive.
